RATANAKIRI: A wave of educational outreach and celebratory announcements is sweeping across Ratanakiri province as the 2025-2026 academic year draws near. Starting mid-October 2025, a massive campaign to enroll children in school is actively underway, led by the Provincial Department of Education, Youth, and Sport.

 

This campaign features vibrant public awareness parades and direct community outreach, mobilizing a wide coalition of stakeholders. Teachers, school principals, village and commune authorities, school support committees, and parents themselves are all joining forces. This vital initiative is part of the "EQUAL-i3L" project, implemented by KAPE and receiving full support from Plan International Cambodia (PIC).

 

The primary objective is to inspire and awaken parents, guardians, and the entire community to the immense, life-changing value of education. The campaign aims to ensure that every child in Ratanakiri—regardless of their family background, geographic location, or vulnerability—is guaranteed an equal opportunity to enroll and receive a quality education for the upcoming school year.

1. Bring your children of school age (for both kindergarten and Grade 1) to register at your nearest public school.
2. Prepare necessary documents, such as a birth certificate or family book (if available), to simplify the enrollment process.
