Liechtenstein’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Education, and Sports Meets KAPE and Learns About Its Innovative Education Initiatives.

On March 1, 2024, Kampuchea Action to Promote Education (KAPE) hosted a visit from Dominique Hasler, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Education, and Sports of Liechtenstein at the NGS office in Phnom Penh to present an overview of KAPE Strategies & Programming including overview of Agency Resources, Strategic Areas of Strength, Review of Programmatic Themes, and Strategic Planning Going Forward.

 

KAPE has expertise and is working at all levels of education from Pre-school to Tertiary including curriculum design, teacher training, & management. There are 18 projects in 15 provinces by 15 donors, such as Bi & Multi-lateral, government, organization & foundation, and corporate.

 

The project team also presented about the New Generation school program, and the Digital Visualization Technology Skills Accelerator Project (DViTSA) funded by Liechtenstein Development Service (LED) that is going to be implemented in 5 New Generation Schools in the Public School System. DViTSA aims to emplace a curricular and pedagogical framework in the public school system that will equip Cambodian youth to effectively participate and benefit from the anticipated expansion in the ICT Sector and in particular the Digital Visualization/Gaming Subsector.

 

The Minister also spared some time to visit the New Generation school program at Preah Sisowath high school.
